How do I ...

1) ... start WkSvW32 as service?
2) ... cancel a network client?
3) ... repair a corrupted WkNet file?
4) ... start WkSvNW for Novell Netware?
5) ... configure a WkNet/WkLAN client?
6) ... configure a WkNet/WkLAN server?

Back to beginning 1)
Please start WkSvW32 as application. Rightclick the system tray icon and select "Start as service".

Back to beginning 2)
A WkNet/WkLAN client can be canceled using WkSvMon by selecting the user and pressing the "cancel user" button.

A WkNet client can be also canceled using the /C option of the WkNetLst utility.

Back to beginning 3)
There is no way to repair a corrupted WkNet file. Please stop the server and copy the original WkNet file from the installation media to the harddisk.

Back to beginning 4)
WkSvNW must be copied to Netware's SYS:\SYSTEM folder. After that it can be started by entering

LOAD WKSVNW
WibuKeyIniFileSpec

at the Novell console. For more information see the WkSvNW section.

Back to beginning 5)
WkNet client

A WkNet client must know of the location of the WkNet file to use for communication. The application name used (provided by the software vendor) and the associated WkNet server file can be set on the Network page of the WIBU-KEY control panel.
WkLAN client

The WIBU-KEY driver on the client system will browse the local network and will choose the first matching WkLAN server. A specific WkLAN server or a WkLAN server outside the local ip subnet (behind a router) ) can be specified on the Network page of the WIBU-KEY control panel.

Back to beginning 6)
WkNet server

For each distinct server WkNet process a WkNet file along with the required options must be set. The parameters and their meaning is explained in the WkNet configuration section.
WkLAN server

In most cases a WkLAN server doesn't need to be configured. The adjustable parameters are listed in the WkLAN configuration section.
